Enhancement of the Apple Limoncella and sustainable meliculture in the rural areas of the Dauni mountains
Sustainably increase productivity and profitability in the agro-ecosystem of the Dauni Mountains,
focusing attention on the typicality and biodiversity of apple production, as tools to reduce the
abandonment of these rural areas. The approach chosen is the relaunch of apple growing, an economic activity with an ancient tradition but only recently rediscovered. Specifically, the improvement and innovation of the production techniques of local varieties (Limoncella in particular) will be pursued, working with a view to sustainability and the implementation of processed products.
