Transfer of protocols for quarantine and harmful organisms and for the selection of sanitary materials improved for the Apulian nursery
The general objectives of the project are: to enhance the agricultural and food production protecting
the land from the introduction and spreading of quarantine and economic relevant plant pathogens;
ascertain the phytosanitary status of nursery plant propagation material; qualify nursery plant
propagation material by raising quality and production standards; increase the economic-commercial
capacity of the local nursery industry; to develop a direct and continuous link between researchers
and farmers which, through the transfer of knowledge, skills and methodologies produces tangible
results.
1. Coordination (WP1) aimed at implementing an administrative, financial, technical and legal
management strategy

3. Project implementation (WP3): divided into 7 tasks: Constitution and conservation of progenitor
plants of economically relevant varieties / species - Phytosanitary analysis of Mediterranean
germplasm of nursery interest - Systems for the rapid identification of harmful organisms; Ecosustainable multiplication and production protocols of "Mediterranean" species; Susceptibility
assessment to Xylella fastidiosa - Economic and environmental analysis
