The general objectives are: (i) to develop soil management strategies
in organic farming and implement winemaking protocols for natural wines; (ii) improve the
quality of the ""vineyard system"" by increasing carbon sequestration, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving the biodiversity and the use of water in agriculture; (iii) develop niche supply chains
diversifying production for the creation of small businesses.
"The innovation to be achieved is aimed at developing soil management strategies in organic farming by adopting innovative protocols:
permanent cover crop in the vineyard with selected native species, selection of plant species useful for the biodiversity improvement, no till system, sustainable management of weeds in the vineyard inter-row, and agro-pastoral system with the use of pasture for the control and maintenance of the permanent cover crop."
