PEI-AGRI

Integrated system of phytosanitary defence for the digital reporting

Obiettivi
Objectives

Implementation of an innovative tool for vine-growers which supports them in the decision making process in order to optimize the phytosanitary treatments. These last would be justified on a technical-scientific base rather than the arbitrary choice of the entrepreneur, which, even if correct, would not be supported by objective evidence as written in the European  directive 2009/128/CE. The directive set up a common action in the sustainable use of pesticides, by creating the compulsory Integrated Pest Management.
We will reach our goals by integrating existing tools in order to create a new powerful Decision Support System which will monitor the agro-meteorological conditions of the territory.

Activities

1. Building of a network to monitor the vine-growing territory of Treviso. Definition of the homogeneous areas and demonstration companies for the monitoring of the vines. Implementation of a weather stations network; 2.Implementation of a DSS for a sustainable management of the vineyards. Creation of the DSS and editing of the phytosanitary reports, 3.Development of an information system with the Digital Reports (BoDi). Creation of a tool to simplify the decision making process (BoDi). 4.Spreading of the project. Awareness campaign regarding the sustainable vine-growing

Pratice abstract
Description

The innovation deriving from the synergy of the most advanced technologies available in the agro-meteorological, phytosanitary and informative fields in the creation of a single digital phytosanitary bulletin, usable through the main devices (smartphones, tablets and PCs) that the farmer will use continuously updated (hourly update) and powered by geo-referenced input and very high territorial detail. We can define this passage, from a periodic and static bulletin (weekly cadence) to a digital bulletin that takes into account data and business choices (agrometeorological georeferencing and phytosanitary treatments performed), a technological revolution that lays the foundations for a new management of vineyard in terms of safeguarding the environment and the territory through a more limited and targeted use of plant protection products and the choice of products with a reduced toxicological class, in particular the unclassified and irritating.
