FILO - Improving sustainability through organizational efficiency in agri-food chain
The project aims to transfer organizational, methodological and technical innovation in the logistic system of the regional agri – food sector. In order to reach the goals, the activities of the project are organized in two different tasks, each studying and testing different solutions and methods to improve the internal and external logistic system.

The regional agrofood chain shows some elements of weakness:
- inefficiency during the ongoing of logistics supply chain: critical issues in lead time and supplying costs, inventory management, transport management, retail channel management. The above mentioned problems are reinforced by the geografical caractheristics of the region: low population density and a not easy road system, with few connections to neighboring regions
- loss of negotiation power along the chain between production (agricoltural sector) and transformation industry
- deep price volatility of primary sector's commodities
