Eco-sustainable biofillers from by-products of the wine production chain to reduce the use of plastic in the vineyard and cellar

Obiettivi
Objectives

The main aim of this Plan is to reduce the use of conventional plastic in the wine production chain, through the dissemination and the use of new eco-sustainable products, generated from wine byproducts and able to support a tangible and industrially scalable appilcation of the principles of circular economy and sustainable agriculture.

Activities

The project activities include:
- creation and characterization, starting from the by-products of the wine production chain, of new
biodegradable ties made from wine biofillers;
- implementation of their use in the vineyard;
- production, characterization and dissemination of new eco-sustainable caps (for glass bottles and
cartons), constituted by biofiller obtained from by-products of the wine industry, 100% biodegradable;
- production, characterization and dissemination of new eco-sustainable caps (for glass bottles and
cartons), constituted of biofillers obtained from by-products of the wine industry, reducing by 50-60%
the use of conventional plastic.
