Historical horticultural germoplasm
The goal of the project is to protect, recover, preserve, rebuild and enhance the environment and the territory also with a view to territorial marketing that passes through the enhancement of its traditional and autochthonous fruit and vegetable products.

Tuscany was a very important region for fruit and vegetable production, for the great vocational nature of many of its territories for these productions and the long tradition born already in the Medici era and even earlier. Tuscany is one of the most important Italian gastronomic realities and eno-gastronomic tourism is a driving element of the sector. Many of the culinary recipes include the use of vegetables and fruit once cultivated in the various agricultural realities both on the plain and on the hills as well as in the mountain areas, varieties that today the consumer finds it difficult to find in the markets and to recognize and appreciate.
